References & Testimonials

Throughout my life, I have been privileged to meet and work with some incredible people. I’ve learned things from each and every one of them — things that have enriched me professionally and personally. I appreciate these references and testimonials from just a few of those individuals.

I met Stacy while I was incarcerated for a lengthy time at Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville, Indiana. She is a member of the ALPHA Women’s Bible Study group that regularly performs the jail ministry of which I attended. Stacy immediately stood out to me as a genuine, caring person during a time in my life when I was severely depressed, rejected by my family & friends & had lost all hope for ever being a productive member of society. Through prayer, bible study, sharing stories & constant encouragement during those encounters in that group, I began to feel restored spiritually and regain confidence in myself. Alpha promised to help me obtain a better life after my incarceration. I chose to believe them. After all, why else would these kind women take so much time & effort to show love for felons they didn’t know?

Upon my release, I contacted ALPHA & Stacy, personally. They helped me with re-entry into society by giving me rides to food banks & to the BMV to reinstate my license, paid for my first two weeks of in-patient drug/alcohol rehabilitation & sent me literature, cards & emails filled with prayers & encouragement.

As 4 years have passed & I’ve continued my journey of recovery, I have witnessed Stacey’s efforts to advocate support for incarcerated women and their families. She uses her exemplary writing skills to share anonymous stories via social media to inspire ways to help others like me. She invokes compassion & understanding for incarcerated individuals & all those affected by crime through her direct interaction with inmates, correctional facilities, churches, & local businesses. She recently spoke publicly at Legacy Christian School about faith. Her unique ability to reach people of any age or affiliation & share God’s love is exampled by her extraordinarily articulate way of expressing herself with grace & a delightful sense of humor.

My life has dramatically improved as a result of Stacy’s work in jail ministry and relentless dedication to God. I know that you will be equally as blessed should to meet her.

As a former teacher, I recognize a good one when I see one. Stacy Corwin was very patient and knowledgeable and set my mind at ease when I was suddenly declared our webmaster. She went above and beyond by answering our questions, creating a manual and following up well after our initial training session. There is no doubt that she has a lot to offer, and she makes the experience enjoyable with her pleasant personality and sense of humor.

I have known Stacy for many years, and had the privilege of having her on my team at Hansen Multimedia for over 2 years. An accomplished communicator in written and visual mediums, Stacy knows how to convey the essence of a topic with the just the right tone and angle every time. She is a proven professional with all the right skills to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Stacy’s ability to meet deadlines is among the best I have seen, and I find her ability to multitask quite inspiring!

If you want a project ‘done’ — just give it to Stacy.

I have known Stacy since 2002. During that time, she has been a good friend, my Youth Ministry Administrative Assistant, and currently serves as a volunteer in the local Hamilton Country Jail in which I oversee multiple ministries.

It has been an absolute pleasure to witness Stacy grow from an already strong Christian woman with an amazing work ethic to a humble, broken servant of Jesus Christ. She has been spiritually wrecked by her engagement with the, “least of these,” she has met through the jail ministry in which she serves and leads. Stacy has always gone the extra mile in everything she does. That’s just who she is. The tenacity she brings to meeting the needs of her friends in the jail ministry displays a Christ-like love that truly penetrates the hearts of women in ways most of them have never felt.

Stacy has been called by God to reach those behind bars. God has gifted her powerfully to do this. When she told me God was calling her to be involved in jail ministry, I knew she would be obedient to follow that calling and the Holy Spirit has produced much fruit through her obedience already.

Many people are competent for specific roles, but I would guess Stacy is more competent than most. Her professional experience in the church as well as in the work world outside the church have given her a wide variety of experiences that have stretched and developed her skills to the expert level in many areas. More important than competency is her impeccable character. Her integrity and desire for holiness in all she does truly make her sine in God’s Kingdom.

I had the privilege of having Stacy as an employee and part of my creative team from 2011 to 2014 at my web design and development firm, Mango Tree Media.

Stacy was a star from the very start, quickly picking up our systems and immediately adding value to our team and engaging with our clients. She has an amazing sense of humor that she uses in a way that puts people at ease and builds rapport.

On our team Stacy rapidly worked herself into multiple roles, but one of the main roles was managing and interacting with clients. This was often done over remote connections to the point where that part of the job became routine for all of us. Additionally I allowed the flexibility of working from home when that made sense and so that was a normal part of our routine as well.

One of the issues with having a remote team is that it can be hard to make sure they are all on task and working on the most important priorities. This simply is not an issue with Stacy as she is extremely conscientious on her usage of time, is very detail oriented, and has a high sense of responsibility. The result is that when Stacy says she will do something, it will 100% get done, and usually she’ll throw in something extra. Perhaps its not fair to her to set up too high expectations, but all I can say is that described her time with my company.

The only reason Stacy and I parted ways is that I sold my company in order to follow a call to return to full-time ministry. One of my favorite quotes if from Frederick Buechner which says “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet”. It is one of the reasons I got back into ministry. But it also reminds me of the day at work where we sat down for our weekly meeting and Stacy shared with us her heart of being called into the prison ministry through the church we both attend. At first it surprised me a little because I knew it was way out of her comfort zone, but as the weeks and months passed by I could tell by how she shared with us with such passion that she had found a place of deep gladness and certainly a place of deep hunger. Stacy has lived this passion out consistently and sacrificially over the last several years. I don’t know that I have seen a more obvious case of someone finding their calling.

I sincerely hope that the doors will open for he to follow this calling to a new level. Whoever gives her that opportunity will find someone who is fiercely loyal, trustworthy, competent, and passionate. I would HIGHLY recommend her to you, ESPECIALLY for a position with a prison ministry.
