Lately, I’ve been asking myself why I do what I do. I’ve been so tired, burdened with some projects that are kicking my butt and stressing me out, and just feeling like it’s too much.
Today, I got a call from one of our jail ministry team members asking if I had heard that Rozalyn died. It hit me like a gut punch. If you have your head in the sand and don’t realize that heroin is a pox on our community, it’s time to wake up. Young and vibrant men and women are losing their lives to this drug.
Rozalyn attended our ALPHA class in 2015. This is her hand-written name tag from April l 13, 2015. We collect these every session as a visual reminder to pray for these women.
Why do I do what I do? Because God asked me to do it and because people are dying.
